4 Stars Self Assessed Guest House4 Stars Self Assessed Self Catered Accommodation

Countisbury Lodge is a newly renovated guest house with parking, and amazing views high above Lynmouth, but only a short walk to the amenities. This is an excellent place to explore Exmoor National Park, and to walk the North Devon and Somerset coast path. We would be happy to discuss the accommodation on the phone if you would prefer: 01598 752388

A self catering cottage and apartments are also available in Lynmouth. Attached to Countisbury Lodge is the cottage which can accommodate up to four people. There is also an apartment with sea views and a double bedroom + ensuite, and a lounge with kitchenette.

Lynmouth is an unspoilt village situated on the north coast of Devon, within the Exmoor National Park noted for it's natural beauty and unspoilt landscape. This is the perfect place to go up onto the moor and catch glimpses of the red deer and the wild Exmoor ponies, and explore Devon and north Somerset.

The Victorians named the area "Little Switzerland" which is an excellent description of the terrain. Lynmouth and Lynton are linked by the unique water powered cliff railway, another place to admire the beautiful views. Leaving the shops, tearooms and cafes of Lynton behind, you will find the Valley of Rocks, home of buzzards and the wild but docile goats. There is a good selection of eating places in both villages, and the local area.

Check in is available from 3pm. If you are likely to arrive at a different time we be grateful if you could let us know.

Guest Reviews

Overall rating: 4.6 out of 5
Our stay was made all the more perfect by the friendliness of Linda and Patrick, the attention to detail in the room and homeliness of the lodge. The breakfast was superb, the thickest bacon, the chunkiest toast and beautiful fresh fruit salad and a selection of local marmalades and jams to make breakfast more leisurely. We had to drag ourselves away on the morning of leaving but look forward to going back. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.
